Borrowing Money Boot Camp

This two-and-a-half-day course is designed to assist land trust professionals overcome common financing challenges and catalyze their organization’s ability to borrow (and repay!) money.

This deep dive into conservation financing offers an opportunity for staff and board members to learn the art and science of borrowing money and assess their organization’s overall readiness to use bridge financing to achieve their goals.

Focusing on hands-on tools, lessons from relevant case studies, and personal consultations with conservation lenders and finance experts, participants will diagnose and strategize solutions for their projects. The course is limited to 12 organizations or 24 individuals. (First-come, first-serve, which is why we’re telling you first!)

After completing the course, you’ll have access to a free mentorship program, providing you with assistance on demand from an experienced practitioner as you incorporate your new financing skills into implementation of your mission.

Registration: Two representatives from a conservation organization. (Priority given to 1 staff + 1 board member teams.)

Location: National Conservation Training Center, Shepherdstown, West Virginia.

Cost: $1200 tuition per organization includes lodging and all meals.
