ILCN Associate Director, Chandni Navalkha was joined by ILCN advisor Henry Tepper on a three-week trip to India where the pair met with leaders in civic and private land conservation. The trip was born of a recognition that civic conservation organizations play a critical role, and are often well-established, in South Asian countries, but lack the visibility of groups in surrounding regions. It is part of an ongoing effort to expand the ILCN's network in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

 Global Landscape Stewards lays the groundwork for collaborative cross-border conservation with  inaugural peer exchange

In October 2022, a group of U.S. and Australian conservationists came together to imagine a new and collaborative model for sharing tools, experience, and best practices across borders. Over four weeks, the Global Landscape Stewards Exchange—facilitated by the U.S.-based Global Landscape Stewards (GLS)—traversed Australia, weaving the beginnings of a conservation practitioners’ network and exploring themes of First-Nations-led stewardship; private lands conservation; landscape connectivity; wildfire and disaster resilience; conservation finance; policy and governance; collaborative approaches; and community engagement.

Inclusive GEF Assembly Challenge Program: Call for Submissions of Initiatives
 
The Global Environmental Facility (GEF) Assembly is accepting submissions for initiatives that address global environmental and climate change problems in a developing country or countries. Selected initiatives will receive up to $100,000 in funding support, will be recognized at a high-level Ministerial event at the 7th GEF Assembly, and will be connected with each other through a global platform for peer learning. 
Eurosite: ABC Working Group resource page
 
The Agriculture, Biodiversity and Climate (ABC) working group brings together farmers, practitioners, and researchers around the belief that nature-friendly farming has a pivotal role in solving the biodiversity and climate crisis. Its new website is live and lists upcoming meetings, webinars, workshops, and networking opportunities. The working group is open to anyone active and interested in these topics from anywhere in Europe.
Call for Creative Content

The ILCN is looking for submissions of artistic work with a connection to land and land protection to feature on our website and in upcoming newsletters. We are open to poetry, short stories, personal essays, visual art, music, and more. Submissions can be sent to Lily Robinson at lrobinson@lincolninst.edu. Please include a short description of the relationship your piece shares with land, nature, or the environment.
